Remove the back Ashtray then remove the 2 screw holding the console, you should have enough room to lift the console to be able to adjust the screw to tighten the hand brake.

Does this work for a 99 vtec 2.3
Jason Miller no reason why it wouldn't.
Okay I figured it out I did what had to be done but it was not a 12 mm it was a 15/32 deep .. back breaks are working alot better and hand breaks as well
