Replaced screen and touch gasket. Touch doesn't work at all. Ideas?

Purchased new screen from iFixit. After receiving, also purchased touch-force gasket and screwdriver tool before repairing. After repair, no touch response at all. Took watch apart to check on connection for touch force gasket. Seemed to be fine. Not sure touch force is really the problem, since the screen doesn’t appear to be touch sensitive at all. To say nothing of not being responsive to pressure. Thinking the part may have been defective. Any suggestions?
