MacBook Pro (Retina 13-inch, Mid 2014) - Glitch and Freezing Issue)

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014). Since 2016 with Yosemite, it has a glitch issue which has not been fixed. Weirdly, the issue mostly occurs with the Apple applications. Initially, when I clicked on a photo to open up, the device was glitching or freezing immediately like crazy. However, currently I am not so sure about what triggers the behavior. The only app that I can use confidently is Google Chrome. I have visited Apple store twice for the issue during the warranty period however nothing as changed. Apple service was not able to diagnose any unusual things with the software or with the hardware. I had reinstalled Mac OS many times which was also not helpful also. Now the Macbook is useless for me other than the Chrome and Office Programs. You can see a recent glitch video which I got today. Please share your experience or solution if you have any, this makes me crazy for years. I was not able to find much online about this case I am experiencing for a long time...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq2ki7yi...

Wow quite psychedelic!

I would see if an external display showed the same (in mirror mode) if it did they you know the CPU’s internal graphics engine is failing and you really need a new logic board (I would go back to Apple with this video in hand) as this should have been fixed by them the first time.

If the problem does not show up on the external while the internal is going spastic then the internal display likely has been damaged. This can happen when you clean the screen and the liquid drips down to the bottom edge damaging the T-CON board logic or something within the iDP connection to the logic board from the internal LCD is failing.

Thank you Dan for your reply. This is a trouble which this mac has for 3 years. It has not been solved by Apple during warranty period. Now warranty is over and I gave the device to Genius for the same issue. They magically found the trouble maker this time and are able to solve it by relacing the logic board. BUT: They offer to replace the Logic board for almost 600 Dollars. It is crazy and really bad customer service from Apple... I do not accept the cost, will seek for another way to solve it under “good will”...

Go back with your previous visits showing them you have had this problem since then. To be honest, you also waited to get this addressed.

Yes! This sucks! But, you can't blame Apple for all of it. You need to take on the responsibility to be a pain in their side to get it fixed. You where too much a push over sorry ;-{

The second time I would have had the vid on the system to show them and I wouldn't have accepted the system back without something being proved to have been done at least. And as soon as it failed again I would be right back in their faces!

At this point You'll need to fight and fight hard to get this fixed under warranty. Talk to the service manager and store manager when they pass move up the food chain the regional managers. But this only works if you have the proof you've had this right along.

Remember we are not Apple here, and we won't varnish the truth.

I wish you luck, Sorry.
