I have a Ipod Mini 4GB there is a battery symbol with a triange and exclamation sign !! showing on the screen on start up. This ipod will charge but will drop-out after playing a couple of music tracks then showing the above symbol on the screen. Does anyone know what the problem is.

It definitely sounds like it has a bad battery that needs to be replaced. eBay has new batteries you can use, just search for ipod mini batteries. Once you get a new battery, follow the iPod Mini battery replacement guide at iFixit.

I agree, it sounds like a bad battery, but why don't you buy one from iFixit?

hi
I have replaced the battery on my ipod mini and this problem still keeps happening have bought 3 new batteries and tried its like the battery is shorting out is there anything I can do or is the ipod completely had its day?
