Hi im looking at changing the hard drive in my imac from what i can work out the old HD is sata 1 is this right? Will a sata 2 hard drive work?

It's plug and play. I don't buy hard drives off eBay. You don't save that much over a sale at Best Buy. To much rides on the integrity of a hard drive.
