Tablet won't turn on or charge

I had an old Asus MeMO Pad 7 that I accidentally left charging for a month. When I went to check on it, it was loading something and then turned off suddenly. I couldn’t get it to turn on or charge. I thought there was something wrong with the battery so I replaced it, but it still won’t turn on or charge.
