While playing Alpha Sapphire, my 3ds suddenly shut off and wouldn't turn on again. The LED turns blue and stays that way, but the screens don't show anything and no sound plays. It charges at times but, as far as I can tell, that changes nothing

Kill the battery then power cycle the 3DS, let it sit for like 20 minutes with no juice then try charging.
If that doesn't work try opening and closing it a few times trying to see if the 3DS thinks its in sleep mode.
You can also try removing and reinserting the SD card(with the 3DS off, of course).
