1 27" iMac Retina - Random Screen Flickering
Hi, I am experiencing the display screen randomly flickering on a 27” iMac 2015 model. I have upgraded the hard drive to 1TB SSD and was working fine until few weeks ago,
Have done SMC/PRAM reset, changed cord, changed power outlet, Apple Hardware test and no change.
- Wondering if anyone has experienced this and what could be causing it? I’m thinking could it be different memory I have added from 8GB to 16GB (4x4GB)?
- Or an internal display cable issue not sitting in 100% into the socket on the logic board?
Any thought’s much appreciated and I have attached a video of the issue.

Is this happening only in Adobe App.?
We have an issue with the same thing when we send a print to a print manager from indesign.
How often does it do it.?

I managed to resolve the issue by changing memory. There was 3rd party memory mixed with genuine one and after the memory change the flickering stopped. Check you memory in your 27" iMac behing the power plug to see if its apple branded and if it is see if your able to test different memory modules as could be compatibility or failing memory. It worked for me :)
