Is my Audio IC broken?
Hi.
I bought an used iPhone SE from eBay. The Seller only told me that the Screen was Cracked. Today it arrived and I also noticed some other defects on the Phone.
The bottom Microphone doesnt work, and the Headphone Jack doesnt work either.
It only sometimes sounds clear after I put the volume to max, and after a few Seconds it sounds very distorted again. Im pretty sure this isnt a loose connection, because if I turn down the Volume, and then Up, its distorted again.
I already tried to Reboot, Reset, Reinstall iOS, Replug the Ribbon Cable… Nothing works.
What do you think? Should I replace the Part with the Headphone Jack, Lightning Connector and Microphone? Or maybe there is a damage on the Logic Board?
I hope you can help me.
Questa è una buona domanda?

First thing to try would be to replace the charging flex and possibly the speakers too

But why the speaker? It works, so I dont think I need to replace that.

Torn diaphragm on the speaker can cause distorted sound...

Oops I forgot to mention that the distorted sound comes from the Headphones, not the Speaker. I tried many Headphones, all of them have the same problem, so there must be something wrong with that charging flex or the Logic Board.

Yup so change that charging flex, always rule out easy to replace parts before going to board level hardware as it's more complex and easier to mess up
