Hello.
I have an issue with my Right USB port.
After replacing the battery on my 15” retina from mid 2012. I replaced both the I/O cable and board and no change. Flash card and HDMI ports work fine.
USB works with some devices but not others. It does provide power to the devices, just doesn't see them.

Let's get a picture of the ribbon connectors on the logic boards (both) I'm thinking one is damaged. Nice tight crisp shots. Aggiungere immagini ad una domanda

Did you damage the new I/O cable and/or damage the I/O cable connection point on the logic board?
Post some pictures of the cable connectors on the cable itself, the connection point on the logic board, and the connection point on the I/O board itself.

What operating system are you running? Did this happen after a system upgrade?

This happened after I replaced the glued-in battery. The battery replacement went well and I didn't damage anything. But now the right side usb port has this issue. I tried a new I/O board and flat cable but didn't change anything. I'm thinking it a fuse link that went bad somewhere on the logic board, downstream from where the I/O board connects to the logic board?
