Why does my HP iPaq h4150 turn on but when I turn it off it won’t work

I bought a HP iPaq H4150 a few months ago and i only bought the charger a week or two ago. When I turn it on it works fine but when I turn it off it won’t charge or turn on. I can only hard reset it. Plus when I turn the battery dies it factory resets. The backup battery is 100% according to the device. What can I do?

Hi @chura,

If the main battery is not new and hasn’t been charged or recharged for a few months you may have to replace the main battery as it may have become depleted beyond recovery.

The same with the backup battery

Have you actually tested the backup battery with a Voltmeter to make sure that it is OK?
