My Laptop won’t turn on at all no signs of life. I am getting LED visuals on MagSafe and Battery Sensor.
Has a hard drive installed without macOS for the minute (no point buying If laptop is dead)
Would love to get this old boy running again.

Yes, your PRAM battery has failed! And the leakage of the electrolytic has corroded things. You’ll need to take it off (soldered on) clean the logic board and replace it with a fresh battery. The system won’t work properly without it.

We don't have any guides that gets into replacing this battery. The only guide we have is taking the logic board out MacBook Unibody Model A1278 Logic Board Replacement

So I bought off ebay to repair. Came with a charger. No visible liquid damage. a small pin battery on the motherboard is corroded. all lights work just dead logic board.
