Screen will not wake from sleep

I've replaced the screen on a friend's 6S but now it'll only turn on by booting/ rebooting - it won't turn on from standby using the power button/ for incoming calls. I've updated to the latest version of iOS but the issue is persisting. Has anyone had a similar issue?

You’ll need to double check your work to see if ou didn’t accidentally damage any flexes or connectors. Pay particular attention to the Power Button Flex (check out this guide to see it).

Got a 6plus with the same issue a few days back. It was a backlight circuit problem in that case.

Cheers, checked the power button flex and no apparent issues, similarly with the others - there may be a damaged pin on the digitizer connector (extreme left as you're looking at it from the top down, one of the one's which cross the base of the connector), looks slightly off compared to the other side, but digitizer assembly is functioning without issue so not convinced it is at fault.

Power button will turn screen off, but then won't turn back on (without reboot) - not for notifications, charge, lift to wake, or unlock using fingerprint sensor.

Arbaman - how did you test/ correct the backlight circuit? I tried testing using her old screen and symptoms were the same so didn't think it was a screen issue.

Kevin, you would need multimeter and board schematics to hunt down precisely where the issue comes from. However you can try shining a light to the screen in a darker environment when you press home or power button and see if you get a faint screen image.

I am a phone technician, I had the same issue with an iphone X, I tested the same screen on another phone and the issue remain, then I tested another screen and the issue was solved, so defenitly the is is caused by a faulty screen.
