Error 4SNS/1/C0000008:TSOP--124 What it is?

Hi all,

Hope u got a good day, i changed my Hard disk with a SSD 500GB with 8GB Ram and downloaded MacOs High Sierra, but i checked the laptop and this error accured 4SNS/1/C0000008:TSOP—124 and also its gowing too slow with a slow movements on trackpad for mouse and also fans got loud noise, but on safe mode its moving really good and fast and also fans are not loud.

How can i solve this problem without going to store?

How to solve it and what is logic board ?

If you have to ask you'll need to take the macbook to a reputable repair shop that does board repairs for macbook.

Thermal sensor has gone bad on the board. Could be many sensors, worst case scenario could be the one from the SMC meaning the SMC would need to be replaced.

● Did you use proper ESD practices? All it takes is a small zap to damage things.

● Did you try disconnecting the SSD to see if it's pulling to much power?

● Did you bang or drop or scratch the logic board?

There are no replaceable sensors on a logic board and sensors themselves hardly go bad. They indicate problems with system temperatures, in your case involving probably power supply, optical drive and trackpad. It's not realistic to think all these sensors went bad at once, therefore you have a logic board issue, maybe current sensing circuit as @danj pointed out enclosing schematics too. As @benjamen50 correctly suggested, since you don't seem to be a technician you'll need to hire one to get things going again.

Nobody on earth can tell you what to replace at a distance without thorough testing. There is no answer to your original question..simply put either you take it for repair or replace your logic board.

@hanna3194 & @arbaman & @benjamen50 - SMC uses other kinds of detection within the logic board.

In this case it's a Q6100 MOSFET (TSOP) that has failed to supply the correct voltage. Thats not to say the device its self is bad it could be a bad solder joint or corrosion damage around the chip. Or even damaged or missing support components (resistor, capacitor, inductor or transistor).

SMC has gone into fail safe mode to protect your system from further damage. This is when the CPU's clocking is lowered to a low clocking (Safe Mode) which is why the system is so slow.

You'll need to get your system to someone who has the skills, tools and access to the needed replacement components to fix your logic board. This is not something a DIY can do without the deep education and practice.

Let me put it this way... Would you let your carpenter do brain surgery on your daughter?

da

@danj I totally agree with you there..nobody even dares to think about putting stitches to a skin cut, let alone brain surgery, but it seems electronic engineering knowledge can be totally bypassed.

I've never seen so many partially destroyed boards as in the last couple of years and I might be wrong but got a feeling the tube has something to do with it.

da

@arbaman - Reading and understanding schematics is no different than reading Egyptian hieroglyphs it's a learned skill.

Sure someone can be self taught or go to school. In any case it's a deep education that most people don't have.
