iPhone 4 Randomly Turns Off After 18 Seconds And Reboots

Hello,

I Recently Got An iPhone 4 Online For $17 And Never Had Any Issues With It Until The iPhone Started To Randomly Reboot Every 18 Seconds And Has Lines When It Turns Off I’m Thinking This Is Some Battery Issue But The Device Does Recognize That It’s Being Charged But Never Goes Over 4% Of Battery I also Removed The Battery And Threw It Out Because I did not want the battery to break the phone or any leaking to happen but when i plugged the phone into a 12W iPad Charger But It Will Turn On For 30 Seconds And Gets Darker And Turns Off This It Could Have Been Some Liquid But The Water Indicator Was White

Why Does It Do This?

Seems like a battery issue. The battery performance has decreased, due to its age, so much it cant even boot the phone. A good battery for a iPhone 4 is roughly $15-$30

As for the screen getting darker. That can be a multitude of things. The most common thing i have found to cause that is either the battery or a bad screen.

Also, make sure you're using apple OEM cables. There are two chips inside Apple cables that are necessary for "a good charge" One is a chip that holds information saying "its an Apple device". Chinese replicas have been able to copy this, but the other chip needed is a voltage regulator, which is not found in aftermarket cables.
