I want to replace my 2011 iMac harddrive to resell it

Hello,

I have a 2011 27” iMac with a dead HDD. I want to replace the drive and then resell the system.

My question is, which HDD would be the easiest to install? Can I just buy this kit and replace the SSD?

Here’s how to change it:

To avoid the additional expense of an OWC thermal sensor (necessary when changing to a non-Apple drive), go to eBay and buy a used Apple OEM 1 TB drive and just drop it in. Upgrading the drive before selling, seldom adds any value.

Thank you !! The hard drive is actually dead, that's why I am replacing! Any tips on finding the best kit to remove the screen/reinstalling it ?
