My laptop wont even start up please help

I was downloading Avast Antivirus, before the installation finished my apps were acting up, they wouldnt load or show their icon so I thought it'd be best to restart my laptop, once I restarted it, I got the blue screen saying my laptop didn't start properly, it'll restart and then load onto “Automatic Repair” and taking me to an options menu (screen is still blue) and I've tried ALL options, including the troubleshoot options and trying to reset my laptop and delete everything (saying I didn't have enough space on the drive Windows was installed onto) I've tried command promt but I had to log into my Microsoft account yet my password is not working whatsoever. I've changed it up to six times via the website and I still cannot log into the account, as if it doesn't exist yet its connected to my laptop?? I've tried safe mode which took me to the log in screen but my pass code (which I know by heart unless I have to use a different password like my Microsoft password) is invalid there too and I don't know why. I've tried looking everywhere to find out why I can't log in via safe mode and I came up with zilch.

Please help me. I have Windows 10 by the way.

Hi,

Try starting the laptop using a Win 10 USB recovery disc.

It may be that the recovery partition in the laptop has been corrupted and that is why it cannot be repaired using it.

A Win 10 recovery disc can be created from any known working Win 10 PC. All you need is an 8GB flashdrive and 40-60 minutes of time.

In the host PC go to Control Panel > Recovery > create a recovery disc and follow the prompts.

(To get to Control Panel, click on the Windows start button, type Control Panel in the search box and the click on the Control Panel desktop app option that appears)

When you have the recovery disc, insert it into the laptop and start the laptop. When it starts and before it boots into Windows, press the F2 key to get into BIOS and change the boot order to USB as the 1st boot option. You may also have to enable USB Legacy Support or CSM - don’t know which one is in your BIOS, so that it will boot from a USB. Save the changes and exit BIOS.

When the laptop restarts it should boot from the USB into the WRE (Windows Recovery Environment) menu screens.

Select Troubleshooting > Advanced > Startup repair and follow the prompts.

DO NOT select Reset this PC as this could erase all your data if you accidentally select the wrong options after as it will reinstall Windows.

Update (01/26/2019)

Hi,

Try either repairing the OS startup or restoring the system to a point in time before the problem started.

If you have to use system restore you will have to re-install any updates that occurred since that date and also any updates to other programs that you have updated since that time. You will also have to reinstall any new programs installed since that date.

Here’s a link that shows how to do this from safe mode.

To get into safe mode:

Start the computer.

As soon as your computer starts, press the F8 key before the Windows logo appears and select the options as shown in the link above.

Ah, I've tried safe mode and my passcode doesn't work there? I know it by heart, I've been entering it in for months and it won't accept it.

I also didn't do what you said the first time all the way correct so I'm going to do that first before I check the OS and try to restart it in a time before these issues occurred. My main problem is that my laptop keeps saying I have no disk space on the drive windows is installed on.

Hi,

Once you can access the laptop OK right click My Computer >> Manage>>Disk Management>>on the Right Pane you check the size of the hard disk and how much is free
