The iPhone 6 of my uncle won't turn on anymore. He was charging it when it started to smell bruned. In the next minute it was loosing all it's charge and finally turned black.
I already opened it and I checked the logic and charging boards for sooty spots. Anyone experienced something similar and knows which part needs to be replaced?

usually car chargers will damage the charging ic (tristar) so i would check around there first

I guess I'm not able to solder a new charging ic to the logicboard. So I have to buy a new logic board?
you could find someone online that could do the repair
