Quick tips on getting print head refound after changing out tanks.

Office Jet 6700c printer prints page then decides to have a “cartridge or Print Head problem’. I follow instructions and cold boot while machine is on. No joy. Same print error message.

Having seen this before I replaced the two low ink tanks. When I closed the door it came up with “missing or Failed Print Head’ error message. Software recognizes new tanks installed.

I may have knocked the shuttle out of alignment or rattled something loose in the back of the print head somehow putting in new tanks. Who knows.

As it requires disassembly to get to print head I was hoping someone would say, “Oh ya, happens to me all the time… all you have to do is ………. “

Any suggestions?
