Colored vertical lines and black grid lines.

I have a 45” samsung led smart tv part no. un46d6900wf and it recently has black grid lines appear horizontally and vertically. It also has colored lines running only vertically and the colored lines can appear in different locations and change locations. The TV has never been hit and was wall mounted out of reach for all if its life. I Tried re flowing both the main mother board and t-con board by putting it in the oven at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes but it doesn’t seem to have made anything worse or better. any help would be greatly appreciated and im looking too see if it needs a board replacement mabe a chip is failing? I dont think it is the panel because it has never been cracked and it still displays color and a distorted image but im not an expert with led panels.

looks like a mainboard issue since you have those lines on the menu as well. There is always a chance that this is caused by bad gate drivers on the panels driver boards (unlikely) Also, check your LVDS cables and connectors to make sure that those are properly seated.

@oldturkey03 Thank you for the suggestion oldturkey but i also noticed something very strange when i disconnect the ribbons coming from the t-con and going too the lcd. if I disconnect the left ribbon then the left side will go completely black and the right side of the tv looks too be a perfect image again and if i jiggle the left ribbon while its in the slot but the gate is open then i can get all led's on the left side too go completely white no lines. could this be a bad t-con output too that side of the tv.

Tatertot yes it could be the board or the cable ends. Start with the board. At least it looks like this is not a panel issue but either the cables or the T-con board due to bad connectors

@oldturkey03 Ok thank you I will try by ordering a new board and let you know how it goes. Have a happy Thanksgiving :) this black friday my steal of a deal might just be a tv that was heading for a dumpster hahaha

Tatertot I hope you get this fixed. That way you can save some of your hard earned money and keep stuff out of the landfill. A great win-win !

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
