Repairing metal prong connectors between mobo and ZIF connector

I made a terrible mistake when trying to open a ZIF connector on the laptop I’m working on, and managed to bend the the connector over and out of the metal prongs, and when I tried to reset the connector they snapped off.

Your can see the prongs on the right, and the intact connector on the left.

Is there any way to salvage this, maybe by soldering wiring to the prong bases? I was given this computer by a friend and I hoped to be able to fix it up for them, and I’d feel bad if it’s impossible. Note that buying a new mobo isn’t really an option, since it’s $300+ and this computer is fairly old already.

EDIT: The ribbon is intact as well.

EDIT2: The ZIF connector still “slots in” to what’s left of the prongs, so I may try to check to see if the keyboard will still work connected that way, and if it does, superglue the connector down.

EDIT3: It does work, but only if I press the connector onto the prong stubs.
