Dell DA-2 power adapter, no green light

Hello everyone, first time posting a question here. I have a Dell DA-2 power adapter i’m using to power an egpu, and I am trying to activate the sense switch so it will send power to the pins, but when I use a paperclip to connect the SENSE and REMOTE switch, the orange light simply turns off, no green light. Please tell me if I am missing information required to answer my question.

Dell XPS computer unrelated because IDK what this adapter goes to.
