Black Spot - 1 centimeter black "sun"

It may be an intermittent connection to the display (or in the display itself), so that the pixels are not being turned on

Here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the LCD screen in the camera.

At 6:34 minutes into the video the LCD display cable connection to the motherboard is clearly visible.

Without a schematic of the cable connections it is hard to tell which connections are the problem ones (if it is at this point).

Unfortunately the only way to determine if the problem is in the display or in the motherboard is to replace the display and check if the problem still occurs.
