My retina display is damaged from a headphone jack that got caught between the lid and keyboard, because I don’t have enough money I’m continuing using it like this. Is this harming my system besides the visible line on the screen its self?
Does this affect the computers performance? And if yes what should I do?

Well, you won’t hurt your system any more using it this way, but you do need to be careful you don’t bang your system around as its now more fragile and could make things worse. Your workable screen size is also reduced so you may have more of an issue working with it than harming it, depending on what you are using your system for.
Just so you know you’ll need to fork over around $800 US to get this fixed. You’ll need a complete new lid assembly. If you have AppleCare+ service contract this would be around half.

I am using it for web development , yes is a pain in the ass but nowadays a connect to to an external screen.So no harm for the system, thats good news.I was thinking getting a cheaper screen from aliexpress whats your opinio to that?
Sorry just not possible! These newer systems are not like the older Unibody & retina series. This series uses a very different design and so far I have not found any source.
I had managed to get a damaged system which had a still working display for parts and was able to transplant the display for one of my customers as he too damaged his screen. Thats about the only way I know of presently, finding a junker and salvaging the screen if its good. Otherwise its pay the piper (Apple) here.

Take a look here: Smontaggio MacBook Pro 13" Function Keys versione fine 2016 Jump to Step19 as you can see the cables (four of them) come up through the middle part of the hinge the two outer ones are the signal lines of the display to the logic board which is the T-CON board that was within the lid behind the LCD on the older design. The two inner ribbons are the backlight and the iSight camera.
i see , but in the aliexpress site it says that it s compatible with my model too. Can you point my a compatible one if its not much of a trouble for you?
