My 2001 Honda Accord EX 4 cylinder is setting off ECL twice now w P0128. All systems there are good. I hear a software/computer upgrade will help as parameters have changed. I would not get a new ECM in my beloved car (too expensive) but need to know if upgrade can be done at a dealers

I would not do any sort of software upgrade for a car that is 17 years old. I believe a more traditional repair is in order.

Actually took my car to dealer today, normally go to an independent. They could not find a fault with anything involving the coolant system. The ECM was not able to be upgraded. Since the car has been checked by two experts and is running fine I may get a code reader and turn the light off myself when it gives that code. Thanks.
