Volume slider can not be repaired! Can I buy something?

After my volume slider stopped working on my Wii u Gamepad I decided to open it and try to fix it, I have some experience with opening consoles and pc's so nothing broke (just the volume slider). So in short, The plastic piece won't lock into the slider on the motherboard since they're both destroyed in the shape, problem is I can't lower the volume quickly which is a problem. Can I buy something that adds a new volume slider? Like the ps4 controller has where you plug in a 3.5 Jack which has a volume “wheel" on it. Or am I fuc#ed completely?
