Hey! My acer monitor when turned on show the logo 3d and then the energy star logo too but when it get signal from the pc it just show vertical lines covering all the screen , plus when i suppose it comes the windows screen the lines start to move up and down. Anybody who knows what can cause that?

MyCanemalato this “show the logo 3d and then the energy star logo “ comes from your computers firmware. The actual video is being processed by the main board inside your computer. I definitley would open it up and take a look to see if there is any obvious damage. Use this guide Acer G246HL Bbid Teardown for that. Post some images of your board(s) with your question so that we can see what you see. Use this guide Aggiungere immagini ad una domanda for that.

Does it only happen when connected to a computer? If possible, can you try hooking up another monitor to your pc. If using another monitor fixes the issue, then the monitor is bad. If it does not, then it is possible your video card is bad.

Yeaah with other monitor the pc is fine so its the monitor , i will like to know if there is anithing i can do to fix it or to know what component causes it. Becouse its weird that the logo screen and the menu without the signal from the pc works fine.
Hmm. Have you tried using a different cable? Also what connector does it use? VGA, Displayport, or HDMI?
It sounds like a cable issue because if it was a motherboard issue, then it would show lines on the bootup screen too.
I have tried with , the dv-i and hdmi and i get the same result
