Earphone's mic is not working

I have boat earphones, I can hear through the buds but the mic is not working, its working fine in other devices but in my phone it's not working, I don't know what's wrong. Do you think that it might be my phone's earphone jack issue?

I haven't tried much yet. Its an issue I've been facing from 4-5 days and sometimes it just randomly starts working. Is there any compatibility issue with boat earphones?

Or shall I just hand it to service centre?
