We will need more details, such as: Does it charge? Do you know the charger works? Is there any physical damage you can see? Have you dropped it in water? Etc.

it fell on a shaggy carpet from 2 feet It was used as tag, maybe that helps you further?

No water, does not charge, No dent, chargers all work, no sound, a dim light that makes the screen dark grey as oppose to black when I press on the power button .
