Coke spillage on keyboard of MacBook Pro
Good day guys!
I'm well hope you guys are also good, last week Tuesday (10 May) I had an accident, split coke on my keyboard, actually most of the coke was on my desk and some on my keyboard, my natural reaction was to wipe off the keyboard switch the power off and turned the laptop upside down so excess liquid could drip out.
That incident was about 8pm, i let the laptop stay upside down the whole night, in the morning at about 9am i turned in on to check if it still worked and thank God it was still working, i went to a technician to open it up and check any damage, the was a small amount which got in through the back vents and probably when i turned it upside down dripped to the logic board.
The technician cleaned this with some sort of alcohol and toothbrush but he didn't take out the logic board to check the other side when I asked him about he said its fine the keyboard backing is plastic and would prevent any liquid going through.
My question is this true? If somehow the liquid went through what signs in the MacBook should i look out for if its corroding (i mean performance wise), does corrosion kill a MacBook and how long would this take? At the moment the machine is still performing great.
My apologies for the long post hope you guys have a good day!
