Lens cover won’t open automatically

So I purchased a fujifilm instax wide 300 a couple days ago and I noticed that the top piece of the lens cover does not go back to allow a photo to be taken correctly. The lens to be fully open. It seems loose to the point where if I manually push it upwards to expose the glass lens, it goes back down to partially cover it. How do I get it to work properly?
