What IC is neare Heatsink
Hello,
on my old 2009 MBP A1286 an IC burned near the headsink. It is so heavily burned that I can not read the printed numbers to identidy it. Does somebody know what it is?

As correctly pointed out by Daniel is marked as Q7660 and it's a dual channel mosfet providing power to the Cpu. It's a Fairchild IC and can be found fairly easily under the code FDMS9600S by most major components suppliers around the globe.

Thank you for the quick response. There is also a resistor or capacity next to the MOSFET that's also burned. Could you identify that also?
Would have been better to have the board number, but from what I can see that should be a burnt capacitor, 1UF 10% 25v X5R in a package size 603-1. It's part of PPBus, the main 12,5v power line
thank you, after some discussion with a colleague we camke to the same result. :)
You're welcome and good luck if you're planning to try repair. My only concern is that is a fairly big line, feeding power to a number of ICs..keep my finger crossed damage is limited to those two components.. ;)
