Numbers 1 & 2 have stopped working on my keyboard. I have tried accesibility, resetting PRAM, Unpair/Re-Pairing the keyboard. Also checked Accessibility to see if a key was tied to that, nothing. My keyboard is set to U.S. as well.
Is there any hope or is it just simply broken? I can't find any information that applies to my situation.

Probably broken. Take those keys off the board, see if there is something you should clean off it. Whether there is or not, clean it with SMALL dabs of Isopropyl with a QTIP. If it doesn't work, send it to Apple.

I've popped the keys off as well. The button itself looks clean and won't work when pressing without the plastic key on either.

Just to follow up for anyone reading this. I could never get the keyboard to work. I just sucked it up and bought another. Hopefully, this new apple keyboard works longer than the previous one.
