I went to get my car smogged today after doing a tune up but they said it was misfiring so they aborted the smog. What should I look into to fix this? It is running so much better then when I asked my first question, so I am baffled as to why the misfire!!!

OK now you've given it a service you have to give it a tune to go with the service.
You need to check your timing, and correct it if need be, and maybe check your valve clearance and adjust if necessary.
Let me know what engine you have either the 4 cyl or the V6 and I'll put up the corresponding engine repair manual for you.

It is a 1991 Toyota Camry 4cyl, automatic. After the tune up it idled so low I had to keep my foot on the gas pedal and on the brake at the same time. So I did what I felt was logical and tightened the throttle cable at the front of the car which wasn't the idle problem at all but the air intake hose at the carb was allowing to much air. Repaired that and it runs much better. I just put the throttle cable back to where it was originally and am now going for a test drive. Keeping my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that all will be well. Will let you know and thank you so much for all the help. I am so very glad I found this site.
Consider going to an Auto Zone and getting a free computer diagnostic to help isolate the problem.
