MacBook Air not charging even after replacing magsafe port
My Macbook Air was not charging when plugged in (green light not coming on) so I replaced the magsafe port and it still wont charge. Sometimes if I leave the Macbook unplug for a few hours and then plug it in, it will charge. I've also reset the SMC & PRAM.
Update (03/26/2018)
I had the MagSafe plugged in and was lit orange as charging. I decided to try an SMC reset while it was actually orange lit charging. After doing the SMC reset. The orange light went out and now it won’t turn orange to charge again. It’s weird because I’ll leave the MacBook unplugged for hours and then try again to charge and it will turn orange.

From my experience, SMC resets require a few tries - I've had to do it like 10 times at one point before it worked. Don't know how many times you tried it but worth noting.

based on my past experiences @brittkwa you are right there. probably something with the timing window you have being really narrow.

Hey Michael!
I have to ask, did you check and make sure the charge cord itself wasn't the source of the problem ?

I did. I used my sisters and it gave the same symptoms.

I have replaced the MagSafe port and the battery and the issue still continues. What could I possibly check now?
