Screen blinks on and off continously but actions can be performed

About a week ago, i put my samsung galaxy s7 edge in water since it's water resistant, later i found out that the sim tray was wet so i cleaned it and put it back in. The next day the screen turned all black but the notification light and vibration was working. The screen would come back on when i restart it but would go black again after i locked and unlocked it. The next day the problem was fixed. Two days later the screen started blinking on and off but i could perform actions on it and the always on screen also works. I tried a factory reset but that didnt work. The problem still persists. Please help.
