power button flex cable came off

Hello,

repairing a 3GS from a friend who has dropped it. power button was working only when pressed very hard, then stopped working at all.

Took it apart and the flex cable came off the black plastic power switch housing. Is there any way to get it back in or do I have find the whole ribbon cable assembly and replace it? That would include all the other button connectors like volume etc., a major hassle.

Also noticed that the FFC only has one single connector to the switch? Does the switch ground it to the chassis then?
