Ever since installing iOS 11, my iPad Air has been terribly slow. Siri became nigh useless with excruciating delays. There was a lot of press over Apple slowing down old iPhones because of battery issues. Has the same been done to iPads? Will replacing the battery (iPad Air, iPad 5, iPad 6 Battery) fix this problem?

No, iPads are not affected by this issue as they do not use the same power management systems as they do on iPhones:

Thanks for the link. I see that Apple hasn’t admitted a battery problem with iPads, or at least not the same problem, but the comments on that link are filled with people with similar slowdown issues as I’ve run into. If replacing the battery doesn’t fix the slowdown, then what will? I’ve got sluggish Siri, slow app launches, excruciating slow internet connectivity, and glitchy alarms that stutter like Max Headroom and sometimes won’t shut off without rebooting. I’ve already reformat and restored. I’ll reformat and start fresh next. But maybe there’s something I haven’t thought of.
