Repairing green and red horizontal lines from the left of the monitor?

Block Image

Might be a bit difficult to see, but I get this green tint coming from the left of this monitor if you can see it, and it seems to go in lines. The problem seems to be getting worse, and now it's showing red lines too, but the right half of the display seems to be completely fine.

Does anybody know what is causing this? I'm also noticing that the red lines seem to show up on dark webpages and you can sort of see a "ghost" image of the UI from the bright webpage you were on last.

I'd also know if this could be easily fixed, like if it were some loose connector inside or something, and if it's worth paying someone to repair if this isn't an option

@whofixit what make? What model? What lines? Post some images of what you see with your question. Use this guide Aggiungere immagini ad una domanda for that

It's an LG 22EA53, there's another model with a similar name and an extra letter, but this model just ends at 53, I think a newer model has an extra letter

There should be an image embedded in the post, if you look to the left of the monitor you can see a green gradient and very faint horizontal lines

Hi @whofixit ,

What input is being used, the digital DVI-D or the analogue D-Sub?

If possible can you try the other input to see if the problem still exists?

Can you see the problem when you have the OSD (On Screen Display) menus on?

Have you tried adjusting the colour settings to see if this temporarily overcomes the problem?

yes, tried that, effect is still there no matter the input unforutunately

it's using DVI
