Why does my car cut out when I press the gas hard but I let it go it's

I try to pass a car so I hit the gas hard but it bogs out so I let up on the gas it's fine. As long as I press it easy it's fine. It's a 2007 RENDEZVOUS CXL

Probably either a bad fuel pump , bad pressure regulator or a dirty fuel filter. Id start with replacing the fuel filter. Then get a pressure reading on the fuel line and also on the fuel rail if these fluctuate as you rev the car then its a bad regulator if the pressure is low then its a bad pump. Hope this helps
