Can I continue using with a pixelated screen and lines on screen?

I dropped my laptop and now it has pixelated lines going down the side of the screen. Everything still works ok, although I mad it worse by touching the lines.

Can I still use it whilst I wait to hear back from my insurance to replace or fix it?
