How to replace logic board on an iPhone 7 while keeping touch ID?
I've bought several activation locked iPhone 7' s with the mindset to simply replace the logic/motherboard. In digging deeper in my research, I've found that the logic board is actually connected to the touch ID. Since the iPhone 7's "home button" is actually just software now, opposed to the previous iPhones, it makes the whole button useless. Is there any backdoor solutions anyone has found? I've heard Apple has a re-calibration machine to match the logic board with the touch ID, although access is of course restricted to apple fixes only.

I think you can't because all files for touch ID are on the Motherboard

That's disappointing. Is there anywhere you can buy clean Motherboard paired to Touch ID?

I’ve thought about that before. Dunno... broken phones on eBay? But the activation lock, maybe if you reinstalled the firmware?

After doing some thinking, would it be possible to remove just the icloud chip and replace it? Would this effect the Touch ID?

iCloud is software, not hardware on the phone.
