Can I replace the USB cord? My dog chewed USB end off.

pdhaggerty besides the excellent answer provided by @j0vian you could follow this guide Sostituzione dell'unità disco ottico di Apple USB SuperDrive up to step 7. There you see the wiring for the USB cable. Now you can check a replacement cable and see if the colors of the wires matches, than just solder the cable on. Or you can can check the wiring with a multimeter to match the connections.

You may have to buy an old one off of ebay that has an intact cord and desolder the old one and solder the replacement on.
