My ATI videocard has been overheated. I reballed it 2 times. it's life was extended by year and a half. Now it's mulfunctioned again. I think the 3rd reball would not solve a problem. May be I need logic board replacement. What options do I have. Is it possible to upgrade with a newer one?

You basically have three choices:
The 2012 modes can also be used but the video cable need to be replaced as the connector is slightly different.

Thanks a lot Dan! If i go for 2012, is it possible the video cable to be ordered separately?
Warning its a bear to swapout! You'll need to take the display off to gain access to the bottom edge where the connector is on the display. You'll need to do some searching as they are hard to find. The other option which is what I do is use a fine emery board and file down the edge of the cable connector. This is also not easy! but a lot easier. It only takes a 1/10 of a MM on each side to fix.
Thanks a lot Dan! I'll have all you comments in mind. I'll try third reball at higher temperature and after that I'll go for replaciment.
