how to i upgrade the os to the new version from 6.0

no guys not yet rooted, how do i do that first, and my current of is 6.0 kernal 3.10.84 and the cp model num is LG-H818P

do any of u know of a youtube video that show u the exsact steps u take to do this upgrade to new OS?

You're gonna have to elaborate, buddy. Firstly, you have to tell me what Android OS you got. And, is your device rooted?

@kaedki it is possible to side load a factory OS file. Current Android OS info isn't useful, he needs to provide carrier and or model number. If you check out the XDA forum I pointed out, there are many variations.
