Replacement Battery "drops" charge & remains at 2 % for long time
Hi!
I just replaced my original Apple Macbook Pro Early 2011 15" battery with the one that is being sold on iFixit.com. Replacement Battery Link ifixit store
After installation I wanted to calibrate the new battery. So I charged it all the way up until the green LED-indicator turned on. After that I left it plugged in for an additional 2 hours.
Afterwards I wanted to drain the battery. I therefor unplugged the Macbook, powered it on and wanted to use it.
According to Coconut Battery the battery was fully charged at 100 %. Then just minutes after powering the Macbook on, the battery charge dropped to 2 %.
Charging also seems very slow to me. I'm stuck at 2-3 % for around 15 minutes and the calculated remaining time until its fully charged is 10 hours...
Update: Suddenly after approximately 20 minutes being stuck on 2-3 % the battery is supposedly back to a full charge at 100 %. If I unplug the charger the battery drops back to 2 % but remains at this level. It does not shut down, so I assume that the battery is actually charged and the Macbook simply can't properly read/display the actual charge...
I did an SMC reset but it didn't resolve the issue.

If anyone has any advice, I'd be very grateful!
Cheers from Hamburg, Germany!
Update 3rd. Of November:
Went to the Apple Store at had it checked out at the Apple Genius Bar. Apparently the battery is just not compatible. They ran a hardware test and the MacBook is neither able to identify the battery, nor the cycles or anything. It returned with a warning that no battery was connected...
They couldn't give me any particular recommendation other that it's just not compatible with the MacBook and the MacBook itself is aware that the battery is not an original from Apple. Therefore it's not working properly.
Additionally the MacBook suddenly freezes and shuts down on its own after dropping to 2 %. Again, this has nothing to do with the hardware, because all hardware tests came back positive (except for the battery)...
Looks like the ifixit replacement battery is either not working at all or mine just is a faulty one.. Either way, I will demand a new battery from ifixit. Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to offer their help! Much appreciated!
Questa è una buona domanda?
Have you zapped the PRAM and reset the SMC already?

Hey SW,
thank you for your response!
yes I already reset PRAM and the SMC :/

Check the cable connecting the battery to the logic board. If it is not loose, try asking iFixit to exchange the battery.
