Schematics/circuitry diagram Epson EMP 835

Hello

I would kindly ask for the schematics/ circuitry diagram of EPSON EMP 835 projector. I would also like to know where are the reset points for the eeprom on the main board. It is a 2004 product and it would be a waste not to repair it.

@bios321 in general we do not share service manuals on here since that could come back to our host as copyright violations. We are always wiling to share some of our knowledge and parts of a manual that could be required for your repair. you have not told us what the issues are with your projector and why you think you have to reset the EEPROM.

Update (09/23/2017)

The service manual does not included schematics nor does it have a good troubleshooting section. Here is the information about the After Service Menu

After that you may have to proceed with trying to reset the ATN 45db041b SI EEPROM per datasheet. this could of course erase everything else but at this point you are already stuck and do not have a lot to lose

It is stuck. It does not even ask for the password. Tried all possible combinations I have found on the net 0000, 1793 for hours. It is completely blocked. So I have to reset it to its defaults somehow without messing the firmware. I have found that other Epson EMP projectors have sort of a PW reset points or a PW NMI points. I cannot find these points on this EPSON

Thank you for the AS procedure. I mean it.

Found the ATN 45db041b SI EEPROM. It was located on a second board under the main board. Tricky. It has a reset pin (PIN3), but it is a completely different architecture, there is no SCL SDA like in other eeprom. It seems to be a different beast. The problem is that I have zero previous experience with such eeproms. So how would you reset it? Because I have no idea. I imagine the following sequence:

1. power on+waiting for the message "password protect...."

2. interrupting the circuit on Reset PIN3. Can this interrupt induce a low state on the reset pin (RESET)? Hopefully it "will terminate the operation in progress and will generate a reset". I really do not know what will follow.

Is there an alternative to physically interrupting the circuit on pin3? Maybe shorting it with something else?

I really wonder how would an EPSON technician approach this. I really wonder if they rewrite the firmware into that ATN 45db041b SI EEPROM. And I still think that the reset pin might do the trick. What do you think?

I agree and it does seem unlikely that they would reprogram the EEPROM. I think you are at a point with your repair where you will at least have to give it a try.

It does not work shorting the reset pin with the ground. A few glitters and the same message: password protect
