How do you replace the digitizer only?

I have come across a screen I tried to refurbish and I somehow separated the digitizer from the LCD. I was trying to figure out if anyone knows how to adhere a new digitizer that comes installed on the glass already to the LCD? This is what I was looking at buying. I can't find it on YouTube but I am not sure if it am wording my search correctly. this is what I found for a replacement part.

I know this won't answer your question exactly, and I'll let someone else give you instructions. If it were an android phone, and due to the high cost of their screen replacements, I would advise it...

However, replacement lcd/digitizer assemblies are so inexpensive now for the iphone 6, I would suggest not going through the headache of what you are attempting to do.

You can get replacement assembly for the 6 as low as $15.

I use to refurbish iphone screens, and the time and risk just doesn't weigh out anymore.

So I can't just throw a piece of OCA between the two huh?

Did you end up trying OCA, or any other method? How did it work?
