My playstation 4 won't turn on at all.

So I recently suffered a power outage while my PS4 was on. Now it won't turn on at all. No beeps no light it won't even turn on and then turn off. It's completely dead. So I figured after going through websites and videos it was the power supply. My PS4 is the very first model so I ordered one off ebay and bought the ifixit bit screw set which is a nice set even though I only needed it for the torx screws. Anyway I get the new power supply and use the handy guide which is simple as !&&* and easy to follow and I'm done, but it still won't start. Could their be something else wrong with it? Or is it possible I got a bad power supply? I have no idea how to check if that's the case. I would like to believe they didn't send in a faulty one, but I don't know what else it could be.
