I need help with my screen.

Ok so the TV was working great but after a while the lower half of the screen was starting to not work but after a few minutes it fixed itself. But after a while of that the lower half stayed like that. And one time after a while of not using it I turned it on and the lower half was fully recovered again. But if I moved it it went away and it didn't show fully again. And I know the screen wasn't damaged because we take care of stuff like these. So could it be some wiring on the inside for the LCD I could do something about? I'm asking for help because I'm not sure where I would even start to check if I do open it and how I should open it.

Also I should note right now I have it on. And at random, the bad half, well the upper half of that for a few moments shows what it should but then reverts to white/grey.

TV is a “AOC L22W898 22" LCD TV”

If you need a picture of it I'll post it on Twitter and put the link here.

Update (08/22/2017)

Ok so here's a link to the pictures. Since I can't edit my own post for some reason so I can't do what you said.https://twitter.com/MikeMine2002/status/... @oldturkey03

@mikemine "the lower half of the screen was starting to not work but after a few minutes it fixed itself." You are not telling us what you mean by that. If it was not illuminated it is entirely possible that you have a bad LED backlight or a bad power board. I would suggest that you open up the back and look at the power board and the connectors. Make sure there is no obvious damage and everything is connected. "if I moved it it went away and it didn't show fully again." sounds like a bad connection of your LED strip. Post some images of your boards with your question so we can see what you see. Use this guide Aggiungere immagini ad una domanda for that.

@oldturkey03 oh yeah sorry. So the lower half of the screen does light up but it displays grey instead of what it should display. Which I heard something about problems like those being the LCD cables are loose or something. Not sure that's what I meant.

#2 I tried opening up the thing. I took off all the visible screws and it didn't pop off. So I would need some help with that. I don't want to break it.

#3 and I'm not home at the moment. As soon as I get there I'll take some pictures of what I mean.

I have this monitor. My great aunt gave me it. It’s a piece of crap but I like it only because it looks great with my laserdiscs and dreamcast. What I mean by that it’s a piece of crap is that I have one neon green pixel issue but when I press on certain spots on the screen it goes away. I’d imagine my great aunt ignored the pixel issue problem and never returned this. She is in her late 80s and at that time probably early 80s. God knows how well her vision is.
